Prayer Room
At PIHOP, we believe prayer should be enjoyable, engaging, and effective. That’s why we’ve developed a simple model for our corporate prayer sets: ADORE, ALIGN, AGREE. This isn’t just a format for filling time; it’s a value system that helps our hearts stay centered on Jesus and His word and our voices unified in purpose. Over the course of an hour, we move through three intentional movements:
ADORE - ALIGN - AGREE

OUR MODEL FOR PRAYER Meetings

ADORE
Fixing our eyes on Jesus by declaring who He is, exalting His name, and enjoying His presence together.
-
The worship team leads a time of ADORATION where we sing songs to and about Jesus that focus on His worth, value, character, etc...
-
At around the 27(ish) minute mark, the worship leader will invite the whole room to a time of spontaneous singing by singing/saying a phrase like: “lift your own song to the Lord”. During this time we encourage everyone in the room to:
-
Sing spontaneous songs of adoration to Jesus in your understanding (native language).
-
Sing in the spirit using spontaneous melodies and sing to God in your prayer language.
-
ALIGN
Align our hearts, minds, and lives with Jesus by praying & singing the scriptures over ourselves and others in the room.
-
The prayer leader will transition the room into a time of ALIGNING our hearts, minds, and lives with Jesus.
-
The prayer leader will pick a short passage of Scripture. The scripture will function as a launching pad for our prayers & songs.
-
The prayer leader will read the passage and pray a short prayer and invite those in the room to participate by also praying on the microphone.
-
After the prayer leader prays the worship team should break in with a chorus to help unify the room.
-
Then, the others in the room will take turns praying short prayers based on the passage of scripture.
-
Every 3 to 4 minutes (2 to 3 people), the worship team should break-in with another chorus to unify the room.
-
-
As we approach the “45 minute mark” the worship team should sing one final chorus before the prayer leader transitions the room.
AGREE
Uniting our voices in intercession, praying together for people and places in our region, asking God to move in specific and powerful ways.
-
The prayer leader will transition the room into AGREEING with what Jesus wants to do through intercession.
-
The prayer leader will pick a topic to pray for and passage of Scripture to guide their prayer.
-
The prayer leader will read the passage and pray a short prayer and invite those in the room to participate by also praying on the microphone.
-
After the prayer leader prays the worship team should break in with a chorus to help unify the room.
-
Then, the others in the room will take turns praying short bible centered prayers for the topic.
-
Every 3 to 4 minutes (2 to 3 people), the worship team should break-in with another chorus to unify the room.
-
-
As we approach the “hour mark” the worship team should sing one final chorus and the prayer leader should close out that hour of prayer.
